MetDesk is headquartered in the picturesque Chiltern town of Wendover, which has a regular direct train service to London. This is a new position within the team to support our ongoing expansion and future aspirations. You’ll be working closely with commercial staff, trained meteorologists and IT specialists.


The Role

As a Linux system engineer, you will be an experienced server administrator working within the infrastructure team to support the management and monitoring of the Linux server estate.

You’ll have experience with Enterprise Linux in a high availability environment.


Experience/essential skills required

  • RHEL/Centos/Ubuntu
  • Pacemaker/Corosync/DRBD
  • Bash or similar scripting experience
  • Solid understanding of DevOps/SRE principles
  • Fluent English communication skills


Nice to have

  • SNMP/Nagios/Icinga/Zabbix or similar
  • Prometheus/Grafana
  • Containerisation with docker or K8S
  • IaaC with Ansible or similar
  • Virtualisation
  • Cloud experience AWS/GCP or similar
