This graph may look primitive but it's showing something extraordinary! This is a pressure trace at MetDesk HQ in Buckinghamshire, and that sudden rise and fall is the passage of the shockwave from the #Tongaeruption . Check your weather stations - you'll see something similar! pic.twitter.com/hWcB1DpT5v
Spot the fog! Much of England & Wales have had a gloriously sunny day with temperatures rising to above 10C in places. However, across parts of the Midlands mist & #fog has not cleared all day and temperatures have barely risen above freezing! 🥶 pic.twitter.com/jorGidgoUb
Dry January anyone?
Many places away from the far west have barely seen much in the way of rain throughout the first half of this month and conditions are expected to remain mostly dry into next week too!
This should give the ground a chance to dry out a little too. pic.twitter.com/HvTUUPsyf9
Watch out for the fog! This morning there were a few mist and fog patches but tonight #fog is expected to form more widely across England & Wales leading to poor visibility tomorrow morning. It will be cold too with much of it freezing fog so you will need your ice scrapers! 🥶 pic.twitter.com/AVkWo4l9Vi
