The Role

You will be working with other IT specialists, commercial staff, and meteorologists. The role is a mixture of greenfield research and development, as well as supporting and expanding the existing products.

We deal with significant datasets, so you’ll be using the latest technologies to provide services to our growing global customer base. Your skills will support a broad range of industries from transportation, energy trading, renewables through to complex data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, functional code.
• Take ownership of the existing core products, expand their functionality, fix issues, and provide guidance on solutions.
• Find creative solutions to challenging problems.
• Perform code reviews, provide feedback, and suggest improvements.
• Directly impact the future of our products, by participating in design and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with other team members to help maintain a highly motivated, positive company culture.

Essential Skills

• Solid JavaScript (ES6 and newer), HTML5 and CSS3
• Functional React + Hooks
• Familiar with TypeScript
• Experience in web application design, debugging and testing
• NodeJS, Express
• PHP, MySQL

Optional Skills

• LeafletJS, WebGL, WebSockets (socket.io)
• Real-time web applications
• Linux, Docker
• Redis, MongoDB

• Salary commensurate with experience and competitive with SE England
